The challenge
When a high street retail chain asked us to deliver its point of sale and a total of 10 catalogues and publications – many of them high in pagination and volume – the challenge was to provide high quality within set time frames at a lower cost.
What we did
Drawing on desk research, earlier experience and our market knowledge, we set up a project team of both Linney and client brains to create a list of attractive suppliers in the UK and Europe who could meet our timescales.
We visited each on site for capability assessments then set up a sample tender to determine market rates and encourage some competitive tension. A value-engineered stage helped us select the most cost-effective format, so we dished out contracts to the best value suppliers.

As a result, the client enjoyed an impressive cost saving of 12% on £2.4 million.
